Artworks and writing entered in the challenge are submitted to a VIP judging panel who select finalists and winners. Winning schools receive a prize pack that includes books, fun learning and reconciliation resources and a yearly subscription to Wingaru Education. All work samples from finalists are collated into an amazing exhibition launched at a formal exhibit launch event in Sydney, before touring regional areas around NSW in partnership with the National Trust.
To support schools in the challenge, Reconciliation NSW provides all schools with access to a range of free lessons and activities via the Schools Reconciliation Challenge website. Additionally, all schools that register for the challenge gain access to exclusive online workshops.
Join us for the 2022 Schools Reconciliation Challenge celebrating the knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their relationships with water through the theme From River to Sea: Our Island Home.
This exhibition has been brought to you by Reconciliation NSW in collaboration with Placemaking NSW. We would like to thank our partners and acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the 2021 School Reconciliation Challenge finalists. We look forward to seeing the 2022 entries from NSW and ACT schools.
