To make our stories even more accessible, The Rocks Discovery Museum partnered with Art of Multimedia to design and build a custom audio tour, an immersive, mobile-friendly experience that brings history to life through sound.
Across more than 40 minutes of narrative-driven storytelling, visitors can wander through the museum, while listening to tales of bustling harbour life, domestic routines, and the early colonial environment.
Each stop reveals new layers of The Rocks’ past, told through vivid voices, ambient soundscapes, and expert interpretation.
These self guided tours were designed with universal access in mind, ensuring that visitors with vision impairment can explore the museum independently along with anyone who loves a good story and wants to explore at their own pace.
